An inner wall water leak is a NIGHTMARE! Even though the plumber found and fixed the leak, extensive water damage occurred to their home. Project Manager Vinnie met with the customer to scope out the extent of the damage and to explain the process of remediation to the customer. The ceiling in the basement bathroom was soaked and sagging from the weight of the water and the walls and floor showed a moisture level of 99.99%. Vinnie called in the crew, and they began removing the soaked sheetrock and flooring to prevent mold growth which can start within 24-48 hours of the water loss. Drying equipment was then set up to further help rid the bathroom of moisture. The customer was happy with the crew’s professional and courteous manner!

First Response had the Project Manager Rob on the scene to assess the damage the overflow of water had caused to the bathroom. Rob determined the water caused significant damage to the vanity and walls of the bathroom. After extracting the water, the crew removed the vanity and soaked sheetrock and cleaned and sanitized the small amount of mold beginning to grow.
