First Response called in an independent mold testing company to test the mold and to write up a remediation plan to clean up and remove the mold. Once that was complete, the crew moved the numerous items from the room with the mold growth and set up containment. The containment helps keep the mold spores from spreading to the rest of the home while the crew removes the affected drywall. The job took about 6 hours to complete and the customer was very much looking forward to having their wall repaired and items moved back into their basement.

The crew cleaned the sewage out of the tub and sink, removed the toilet and cut the affected sheet rock to ensure the removal of the pathogens that exist in sewage.

Rob the Project Manager for First Response Restoration arrived at the home to inspect the sewage damage. He went through the affected areas with the customer and advised her that technicians would be arriving soon to start the clean up process. Once onsite the technicians immediately started removing the raw sewage and cleaning the areas affected. The concrete floor was cleaned and sanitized and the carpeting was removed. Once the process of cleaning and sanitizing were complete, 5 air movers, 2 air scrubbers, and 3 dehumidifiers were installed to quickly dry the partially finished basement.
