Not only did this customer need a new water heater, they also needed their floors and walls removed due to the water damage. Rob the Project Manager mapped out the walls and ceilings to be removed by the crew. The vanity and the toilet were removed and flood cuts were performed in the bathroom. Containment curtains with zippers were set up to keep airborne debris from spreading throughout the home. The floor had to be removed because the water got underneath and warped the floor. The customer was grateful First Response responding so quickly.

The office then dispatched the water extraction crew to start cleaning up the standing water. The crew then set up multiple dehumidifiers and fans to dry the bathroom area.

First Response Project Manager, Spencer, arrived at the home in less than one hour for inspection. He took moisture readings and thoroughly assessed the areas affected. Spencer communicated the scope of work to the homeowner and got the work started. Two of our technicians arrived to do the cleanup and installation of drying machines. Our team removed the laminate floor and wet part of the ceiling to ensure proper drying. In order to successfully dry and sanitize the affected areas, our technicians used ten air movers, and four dehumidifiers. The home was dry within three days and the equipment was removed.
