Completion date: January 12, 2023

Location: Lagrangeville, NY

Why did the customer contact us?

The water supply line feeding into the baseboard heating system froze during an unbelievably cold night of frigid temperatures causing the water supply line to burst open and gush gallons and gallons of water throughout the ceiling and walls of this finished basement.

Solutions provided:

First Response arrived on the scene to find water soaked into the ceiling and walls of the finished basement. The customer had many books and prized possessions in the finished basement which the crew boxed up and temporarily moved to the garage during the remediation process. The damage caused in the ceiling by the water supply line was cut out which also allowed the moisture to escape and dry. The crew made 2 foot flood cuts to into the walls which allowed saturated insulation to be removed and discarded. The flood cuts along with the 4 dehumidifiers and 6 fans help circulate and dry the remaining moisture in the walls. The customer was so thrilled by our crew, they gave First Response a five star review!!
