Job completed for Wastewater Backflow in Georgetown, CT

Completion date: January 18, 2023

Location: Georgetown, CT

Why did the customer contact us?

A backflow prevention device would have prevented this customer’s sewage calamity. The sewage backed up out of the toilet onto the floors and created a disaster which prompted the customer to call First Response for help.

Solutions provided:

The customer called First Response at 11:00pm to get help with their emergency sewage backup. The crew was dispatched and was on-site within 45 minutes to extract the sewage. The Project Manager and two crews returned the following day to inspect, disinfect and remediate the bathroom and adjacent floors. The toilet and vanity were removed and 2 foot flood cuts were the next steps of the protocol drawn up by the Project Manager. The customer was very relieved once the sewage saturated drywall and flooring were removed.
