Job completed for Faulty Air Handler Unit Causes Water Damage in Stamford, CT

Completion date: January 20, 2023

Location: Stamford, CT

Why did the customer contact us?

When water started dripping from the ceiling onto the wood floors below, the customer knew he had a problem brewing. Then the ceiling began showing large discolored areas, which prompted the customer to call First Response for guidance and help.

Solutions provided:

The air handler unit in the attic had a clogged condensate drain line which caused water to leak into the attic and saturate the ceiling and walls of the living room below. The Project Manager used his handy thermal imaging moisture reader to show the customer the affected areas that should be removed by the crew to prevent mold growth. The crew arrived and set up containment and ordered a large dumpster to dispose of the damaged building materials. All saturated sheetrock and insulation were removed and the drying equipment was set up to help with the drying process. The customer was very happy and gave First Response a 5 star review!!
