Job completed for Water Leak From Water Heater in Home Cinema Room in Bedford, NY

Completion date: January 22, 2023

Location: Bedford, NY

Why did the customer contact us?

A water heater leak caused the carpeting in their home cinema room to become soaked with water and excess moisture. The homeowner was very distraught because they would have to cancel their traditional Friday movie night get-together.

Solutions provided:

Our IICR certified (Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration) crew arrived shortly after Project Manager Rob met with the distraught homeowner. Rob reassured him the crew would have the home cinema room dry within the week so that their next Friday movie night get-together would continue without a problem. As shown in the pictures, the crew followed Rob’s protocol by first extracting the excess water from the carpet, rolling up sections at a time to expose the soaked padding underneath. Then they rolled up the padding to expose the cement floor below. Drying equipment was set out during every phase to help extract excess moisture from the air. The carpet was cleaned, dried and put back into place before the next Friday night get-together which made the homeowner very happy!
