After the customer called their insurance company, their next call was to First Response to set up an appointment with one of our Project Managers to look at the damage caused not only by the fire, but also from the water used to put out the fire.

This fire originated on the upstairs level which caused the water from the fire hoses to drain to the levels below causing all sorts of damage. There were water damaged floors, sheetrock walls and ceilings, insulation and personal possessions such as furniture. Many items had to be inventoried (photographed and logged into a spreadsheet) to document unsalvageable items for compensation from the insurance company. The extent of the damage a fire causes can be overwhelming, that’s why it’s important to call in a company with experience with such losses to make the process go smoothly.
