The musty smell emanating from the finished basement is what prompted this customer to call First Response. A long term undetected water leak in a bathroom wall caused mold to grow and flourish within the walls.

Solutions provided:

The Project Manager could recognize the smell of mold immediately upon entering the basement. After a little detective work, he found the mold growing on the molding behind a couch and also on the walls in a closet. He directed the crew to set up containment to keep the mold spores from spreading, remove and discard the moldy molding and to make 2 foot flood cuts into the sheetrock. Cutting the sheetrock at 2 feet makes it much easier when it’s time to repair the walls. The crew set up 3 air scrubbers to help clear out the moldy smell. The customer was very appreciative for a job well done!!
