Job completed for Broken Washer Water Lines Cause Deluge of Water in Newtown, CT

Completion date: January 31, 2023

Location: Newtown, CT

Why did the customer contact us?

The water supply lines to the washer were so old and corroded from time, that the basement below got sopping wet when they finally broke open. Water gushed through the ceiling tiles onto the carpeting and soaked into the sheetrock.

Solutions provided:

The Project Manager met with this customer as soon as the plumber had fixed the water supply lines. He measured the affected area and wrote up a job scope for the crews. The crew rolled up and removed the carpeting to expose the damp concrete floor below. Dehumidifiers and fans were set up to help dry the area. The sheetrock that was damaged during the leak was cut out and discarded. The main objective was to remove the building materials that were damaged by water to avoid mold growth.
