Completion date: February 5, 2023

Location: Shelton, CT

Why did the customer contact us?

This customer experienced a long term power outage which caused the water in their baseboard heating system to freeze. Once the frozen pipes thawed, water gushed from the burst pipes into every room of their home.

Solutions provided:

Project managers-Vinnie and Robert answered this customer’s plea for help to rid the standing water from their flooded home. The shock this customer experienced after discovering the destruction of their home from the water damage was completely normal. Most homeowners never have to file a property claim with their insurance company for any reason so when faced with having to file a claim, the task seemed very overwhelming. Vinnie helped the customer file the claim while Robert measured each room and wrote up the remediation protocol. Some rooms had carpeting and padding, some had wood flooring and tile. The biggest task at hand after the water extraction was packing away the contents so that the crew could work freely in the home. The inventory crew made a detailed list and took photos of items that were ruined in order for the insurance company to compensate the customer for the loss. Overall, the job took about a week to complete and the customer was thrilled with the First Response crew and the project managers.
