A large water pipe burst open in the ceiling causing water damage to the basketball court floor below. When a pipe breaks in a ceiling, usually the floors, walls and the ceiling will need to be removed.

The Project Manager measured the damaged basketball court and wrote up the remediation requirements for the customer. The customer filed a claim with their insurance company and First Response was given permission to go ahead with the demolition of the floor, ceiling and to make flood cuts in the bottom portion of the sheetrock. The crew bagged up all the water damaged construction material and completed the remediation in 3 days. Acting this fast during a water damage situation of this nature is crucial to prevent any mold damage in the future.
