Job completed for Sewage Submerges Basement in Stamford, CT

Completion date: February 7, 2023

Location: Stamford, CT

Why did the customer contact us?

The customer noticed the basement floor was wet but upon closer inspection, they realized it wasn’t water on the floor, it was raw sewage and sewer water. Being a new homeowner, he didn’t know who to call so the plumber that snaked and cleared his main sewer line of the blockage made up of toilet paper and toys suggested he call First Response Restoration.

Solutions provided:

The Project Manager on duty met with the customer to see the area damaged by the sewage loss. Thankfully the floor was concrete which helped expedite the cleaning process. If it were carpeted, the carpet and padding would need to be pulled up and discarded because it would be considered contaminated by the sewage. It was also helpful that the items in the basement were neatly organized on the shelving. The crew was able to extract the sewage and sewage water rather quickly and then followed up with a sanitizing solution to kill off any bacteria. The customer was very happy with the professionalism of the crew and the Project Manager’s knowledge of sewage losses and dealing with insurance companies.
