Job completed for Slow, Long-term Water Leak Leads To Mold Growth in Dobbs Ferry, NY

Completion date: February 8, 2023

Location: Dobbs Ferry, NY

Why did the customer contact us?

A prolonged undetected water leak in the basement wall led to a large area of mold growth. The mold was discovered when the plumber opened the wall to find and fix the water leak.

Solutions provided:

First Response called in an independent mold testing company to test the mold and to write up a remediation plan to clean up and remove the mold. Once that was complete, the crew moved the numerous items from the room with the mold growth and set up containment. The containment helps keep the mold spores from spreading to the rest of the home while the crew removes the affected drywall. The job took about 6 hours to complete and the customer was very much looking forward to having their wall repaired and items moved back into their basement.
