Job completed for Washing Machine Leak Leads To Inches of Water in Basement in Tarrytown, NY

Completion date: February 11, 2023

Location: Tarrytown, NY

Why did the customer contact us?

The water supply hose disconnected from the washing machine causing many gallons of water to flow into the basement.

Solutions provided:

The water in the basement was too much for this customer’s shop vac to handle. The customer called First Response and we immediately sent out our Project Manager to look at the damage and to write up a free estimate for the remediation work. The customer called their insurance company to get approval for First Response to start the remediation work. The crew arrived and extracted the water from the basement. Drying equipment was set up to draw the moisture out of the air. Containment plastic was laid down to protect the floors. The customer was very relieved once the crew finished removing the water logged construction materials because she didn’t want mold to start growing.
