Once a remediation plan was established, we were able to set containment, protect contents and begin removing any building materials affected by water damage.

After the sump pump failure, the basement filled up with 4 inches of water. The First Response Crew used the water extraction equipment and salvaged some of the personal belongings of the customer. They organized and stacked the belongings neatly out of the way of any demo work to be completed. Drying equipment was set up along with dehumidifiers to help dry the remaining moisture.

Our Project Manager inspected the damage with the homeowner. We took photos and determined the best solution to remediate the Sewage damage within the three rooms. Our IICRC trained technicians sealed off the affected areas. We started extracting and removing the sewage from the rooms. Once all the standing water was removed, we then steam cleaned and sanitized the affected areas. The final step to remove any additional odors and ensure the areas were dry was to setup a hydroxyl generator and drying equipment. The homeowner was pleased that we could work with their insurance company which made it so much less overwhelming for them.

First Response project manager, Rob, arrived on-site and thoroughly assessed the damage. Using specialized equipment, Rob showed all the affected areas to the customer and discussed the scope of work. Two of our technicians arrived shortly after to extract any standing water and set equipment to stabilize the structure. This was an after-hours call, so the client requested we start any controlled demo the following day. After that, we steam clean, disinfect, and install drying equipment to ensure the property is dried to pre loss conditions.
