Job completed for Fallen Tree Damages Roof and Ceilings in Croton-on-Hudson, NY

Completion date: January 12, 2023

Location: Croton-on-Hudson, NY

Why did the customer contact us?

Several days of gusting winds and buckets of rainfall brought an old oak tree down onto the roof of this home. The hole created in the roof caused water to rush into the attic and onto the sheetrock ceilings below. The sheetrock became saturated by the rain water and eventually caved in onto the floor below.

Solutions provided:

The customer called First Response and two crews were dispatched and onsite within an hour. The crew boarded-up the roof and put dehumidifiers in the attic to dry the moisture before mold could start growing. The remaining saturated sheetrock was taken down and hauled away to the dump. The quick response of the crew allowed the bathroom floor to remain dry and it wasn’t necessary to have it demolished due to water damage.
