Job completed for Mold Growth Flourishes From Delayed Water Mitigation in Wingdale, NY

Completion date: February 13, 2023

Location: Wingdale, NY

Why did the customer contact us?

This customer was on a two-week vacation when their water heater finally rusted out and spilled 55 gallons of water onto their carpeted flooring. When the customer returned and found the mess their water heater made, the mold had already started growing and spreading throughout the home.

Solutions provided:

The First Response Project Manager Rob is certified in mold remediation. He met with the customer and showed him the areas the water had affected which also led them to the areas of mold growth. The mold was behind the dressers, under the carpeting and in between the walls. Rob called in a mold testing company to get a protocol written up for the crew to follow. The crew set up containment curtains to keep the mold spores from spreading and then proceeded to remove the carpeting and padding, they opened walls and found abundant mold growth within. Dehumidifiers and fans were then set up to remove as much of the moisture as possible. The customer was very relieved to have the mold removed from his home and was very happy with the outcome.
